Handmade by Maria Grammatico in her famous pastry shop in Erice, Sicily. Only the freshest pistachios, almonds and the best Sicilian honey go into her wondrous torrone. Morbido refers to the soft texture...not brittle at all, but with a nice chewy mouthfeel, this torrone is best enjoyed with a stout espresso after dinner.

Maria Grammatico grew up in a Sicilian convent where she was taught the trade of pasticcerie. When she was 17, she left the convent to open her own pastry shop. She deals with exclusively Sicilian ingredients, producing confections that embody Sicily. Next time you're on the western shores of Sicily near Erice, pop in and visit!
