My faithful morning friend review by Iggymur on 6/12/2016Rating
The scent, upon opening the tin of Mariage Freres French Breakfast tea begins my ritual and the brewing deepens the invitation I accept each morning to sip and savor as I write and reflect. I was introduced to this lovely black tea some 25 years ago on a memorable trip to Paris. I fell in love with the soothing aromatics and have never found another to take its place. Whether in the morning with milk, or afternoon simply plain, this is my go-to-tea.
Love English Breakfast? Upgrade to this! review by Katie on 6/12/2016Rating
My favorite breakfast tea, hands-down. Like a good Assam, only better - with a touch of milk/cream, it becomes smooth, buttery, malty, with a touch of chocolate. Delectable.

My all-time favorite tea review by Nolene on 6/5/2016Rating
This tea is so delicious in the morning! I add a little milk and just savor it. It's hard to describe but I'll try: rich and smooth with a hint of malty chocolate. So much better than English Breakfast tea IMHO.
Never tire of this tea review by Peter on 4/19/2015Rating
Been drinking the Mariage Freres French Breakfast tea for three years now. Love it with coconut milk and so glad that I can buy it in bulk (6 oz. loose leaf) from Market Hall. Won't go anywhere else for it.
My favorite tea review by Nan on 4/10/2015Rating
Discovered this tea in Bon Marche in France, and am delighted to get it at Market Hall! It is not only a delight for breakfast, but for an afternoon tea break. Full bodied, with a malty flavor. It is lovely with milk and honey.
Best tea in the world .... review by Neal on 4/9/2015Rating
By far my most favorite tea. Smooth, slightly sweet. I had the chance to have tea at Mariage Freres in Paris in 2005 and for the last ten years it has been my most favorite tea. So glad it is available in the states and Market Hall has a wide selection to satisfy any tea lover. Whenever I have a cup, it takes me back to that Mariage Freres cafe in Paris where I fell in love with French Breakfast. Any tea lover should definitely try any one of the flavors.
Maybe Mariage Frere's best tea. review by Eddie on 4/9/2015Rating
I am a true lover of Mariage Frere's tea. While I love almost all that I've tried, this tea is my favorite. There's no better way to relax weekend mornings with this tea and a croissant. The flavor is so unique and delicious. It's simply addictive. I'm transported back to Paris every time I drink it. I highly recommend!
Love this tea review by Amy on 4/9/2015Rating
We were visiting friends in California and they served this special tea that I fell in love with, in fact some of the best tea I have ever had! The only problem was they said it was very expensive because they ordered it from Paris but that did not stop me I searched online and was so excited to find Market Hall Foods that had this one and many other varieties of Mariage teas! I am spoiled with this tea I will always have this on hand! I can not wait to try some of the other flavors!
Great Morning Tea. review by anish on 4/9/2015Rating
I love this tea on rainy or overcast mornings when I need a little boost . It has a robust malty taste with plenty of caffeine.

Highly recommend it...
Best tea in the world... review by Neal on 6/19/2013Rating
The best tea in the world does not come from England despite my long held beliefs. In 2004 I discovered Mariage Freres in the U.S. and visited the famed tea house in Paris in 2005. While I enjoy many of the flavors including the iced teas, my favorite by far is the French Breakfast which is smooth, refined with a slightly sweet taste. Definitely worth the price if you are a tea lover.

As an Irishman it pains me to admit, this tea gives my old Irish Breakfast Tea a relay run for the money. A great blend of favors makes this a great cuppa.
Delightful surprise! review by Patsy on 11/28/2011Rating
My husband brought me this tea from a recent trip to Paris and I was surprised by its unique flavor. It is quite different and so much better than English and Irish Breakfast teas. I love it and am so glad to be able to continue enjoying it by ordering online!

Great as a gift review by Dori on 8/23/2011Rating
Sent this to a friend who brought me some from her trip to Paris. She was thrilled that she can get in online. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because it was delivered a day late.
Smells like Paris.... review by Michelle on 10/7/2010Rating
I first tried this tea in a hotel in Paris. Just wanted some simple tea to go with my breakfast and this is what they brought me. I was floored. This tea was simple, smooth and the scent of it just puts you at ease. I'm so glad I was able to find some that I could order back here in the States... because the first batch I brought back from Paris soooooooo did not last me long enough.
My Morning Gem review by Dana on 10/2/2010Rating
I'm so happy that Market Hall is selling this tea and others by Mariage Freres in bulk. I discovered this tea in a shop in Seattle a few years ago, and it is part of my daily morning ritual. I drink my tea with milk, and I find that its flavors stand up well and are in fact enhanced by the dairy. I never thought I would like a hint of vanilla in my tea, but I was proved wrong by this tea. It's just lovely.
French Tea better than English or Irish Tea -- who would have guessed! review by Dolores Moe on 9/29/2010Rating
Never would I have thought French tea could compare favorably with English or Irish tea but I was proven wrong by Mariage Freres tea. I have become 'hooked' on the wonderful flavor of their French Breakfast Tea. This is an exception tea. Their Chandernagor tea is also exceptional - the very best chai tea.
Mariage Freres French Breakfast/English Breakfast/Princeton Darjeeling Loose Tea review by Momof2 on 3/11/2010Rating
1. French Breakfast- This is a very unique and very delicious tea. It has a sort of malty taste, with the addition of a caramel background. I love this with brown sugar cubes.
2. English Breakfast- Even better than Fortnum and Mason's.
3. Princeton Darjeeling- Very snappy, bright flavor.
These teas also last a very long time. I have opened some tins after the expiration date, and they have still been great.
