Can't wake up without it review by Julie on 6/16/2016Rating
Hands down the best tea. Not too acidic and flavor is paradise in a tin.
Motivation to wake up in the morning review by clairebare on 4/16/2015Rating
The best tea I've ever had - perfect with milk and sugar. Many other high end tea brands have tried to duplicate the flavor of Marco Polo, but none come close. Also, I love the tins - designed my kitchen to match. Wonderful that Market Hall sells it in bulk too.
Best tea says the tea snob review by Lv4coookies on 4/15/2015Rating
I love tea and am very, very picky about what I will consume. This is the best tea have ever had. The depth and richness are unmatched. I often give this as a gift, usually with some cookies.

I found this tea about 12 years ago, since then this tea is my favorite. Excellent tea!
The absolute best. review by Gabrielle on 6/19/2013Rating
When I reach for a cuppa this is my "go to" tea. The flavor is unmatched by any other I've found. Since it's so hard to find I was thrilled to find it here.
Great cuppa review by Mike on 6/12/2013Rating
Once again, the Irishman in me feels traitorous as I should be loyal to the Irish Breakfast, but I've got to say, this is a great cup. I was pleasantly surprised by this tea and will be enjoying it more.

This tea is wonderfully smooth and flavorful, and it's marvelous to be able to buy it without going to Paris!
Best tea EVER!!! review by Shirley on 6/12/2013Rating
We discovered this tea in Paris in 2007. At first blush, we thought it was weird, but then we couldn't stop thinking about it. Now we haven't stopped drinking it for the last 6 years. We are tea drinkers, but we have made tea drinkers out of many family members by serving them this tea. It is fruitty, flowery yet full-bodied. It is magical. In my mind, best with milk and sugar, but great any way you like it. Thanks to Market Hall Foods for making it available, because this is not easy to find in the US. Enjoy a cup. You'll never regret it.
The Perfect Cup review by Jolyn on 8/2/2012Rating
I discovered Marco Polo tea when I was 10 (40 years ago). At a garage sale I bought a copy of an old french poster of a woman sipping a cup of tea with the words "Marco Polo" across the rim of the cup. I started a long search for the tea. Found it in Paris traveling with my mother when I was 12. At first I could only have it sent direct from France (so expensive). Then a few years later, a gourmet store in New York started to import it (less expensive), then discovered the BEST, Market Hall Foods!

Brew this tea with water just below a boil. Seep for 6 minutes. Add dash of milk to the bottom of your cup then poor in the tea. "Enjoy".

This was my first Mariage Frères experience and it got me hooked! It is truly a perfect marriage of flavor and aroma blended together in such harmony that transports you to those exotic places where you feel warm and happy.
WARNING! Mariage Frères really is the only kind of tea you’ll want to drink after just one sip.

We first purchased this tea while on vacation in the French Alps. We love it as iced tea too!
Unlike any other tea review by John Champagne on 8/23/2011Rating
I was introduced to this tea by a friend from Paris, who brought me a tin as a present when I was living in Tunisia. I know of no other tea that provides this combination of black tea, fruit, and flowers. Its taste is absolutely unique, not as bitter as many black teas but with more body than most other fruit or flower teas.
An Affordable Luxury... A Real Treat For Tea Newbies and Snobs review by toshijenk on 10/4/2010Rating
I have been drinking tea for a few years now... a little habit I picked up from my husband. I received this as a Christmas gift. Even though it was wrapped in cellophane the fragrance was just sublime. It is a black tea with a fruity and floral aroma. Something that just makes you sigh. After my first cup I was totally hooked. As it was a 30 count box of sachets, I would only allow myself a cup on occasion to make it last. It is incredibly decadent, like a dessert... I usually sweeten my tea with two cubes of sugar but this tea is really good on it's own ( but I usually still sweeten a bit more ). I have gifted this many times and it is always enjoyed and savored by the recipient. The loose tea refill seems more economical, especially if you have already purchased the tin. While it remains a treat, it has also become a way of life. I consider this tea one of my greatest finds in the small but affordable luxuries of life and something that you love to share. In fact, I'm going to have to have a cup right now. I hope you enjoy!
The Best Way To Buy The Best Tea review by Katy Qualman on 9/28/2010Rating
My first encounter with Mariage Freres Marco Polo tea was at a cooking class in Paris. I was smitten, and went the next day to the flagship store in the Marais district to buy some. Years later, after accumulating so many of the cute little black tins that I ran a tongue-in-cheek contest among my friends to discover the best use for so many (the prize, of course, was a tea tin), Market Hall started offering the refills! This is the best idea! Fill your old tin, and keep the rest in a plastic bag in the freezer until you need it.
Introduced to Marco Polo by our hostess in Dijon review by mak on 1/21/2010Rating
It was a cold damp day in Dijon when we arrived at the home of our friends. The hostess served us a lovely cup of "the" to ward off the chill. I fell in love immediately. I bought a small amount before leaving Paris only to find it very hard to come by in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. In speaking with many tea devotees and manufacturers, all agree there is NOTHING like this Marco Polo tea. Treat yourself and enjoy.
