Italian Tomato Trio from Masseria Dauna
Jarred Italian Tomato Collection from Puglia
Grown in mountains of Puglia, Italy, these sweet, bright tomatoes from Masseria Dauna bring vibrant flavor to your cooking any time of the year. In this trio you’ll receive one jar each of Whole Italian Tomatoes, Italian Tomato Purée and Italian Tomato Wedges.
Masseria Dauna’s Whole Italian Tomatoes, or pomodori pelati a mano, are simply hand-peeled, hand-packed whole Italian tomatoes, no salt added. When cooked, the soft, juicy fruits break into pieces — just right for a chunky sauce. Crush them up to make bruschetta, a hearty ragù or quick marinara sauce.
Think of their Italian Tomato Purée, or passata di pomodoro, as a blank canvas for your homemade pasta sauce masterpiece. Begin by sautéing garlic in olive oil. Add chile flakes for arrabbiata sauce, or anchovy paste, capers and olives for puttanesca. Then add Passata, simmer until thickened and season to taste. Done! Not feeling noodles? Make a batch of tomato bisque with Passata or drink it up in a fresh tasting Bloody Mary.
Lastly, the Italian Tomato Wedges, or spaccatelle di pomodoro, are maybe the freshest jarred tomatoes we’ve ever tasted. Skins left on, the wedges hold their shape during cooking, which makes these an excellent choice whenever you wish to preserve the look or texture of big tomato pieces in your finished dishes. Bake tomato wedges on top of homemade focaccia, or try our recipe for Calabrian Fusilli with Tomato Sauce.
Purchase this trio of tomatoes and save 10%. Or, buy them individually.
