Year after year, we love stocking our pantry with this all-around well-balanced, everyday extra virgin olive oil that's great for both cooking and finishing. Their 2023 harvest continues to impress with aromas of ripe stone fruit, grass, and a peppery pungency on the finish. As always, this flagship oil from Séka Hills is estate-made from a single cultivar, the Arbequina olive. A medium-intensity oil.

How to use

Whether you're sautéing, frying, or finishing, there's little this extra virgin olive oil can't do. It's ideal for vinaigrettes, pasta, mashed potatoes, or finishing grilled vegetables. Try using it to fry your eggs in the morning or as a dipping oil sprinkled with Organic Sicilian Oregano from Gangi Dante and a loaf of crusty bread.

About the producer

Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, a federally recognized sovereign nation, has embraced the ancient Mediterranean tradition of growing olives and is using the most modern methods to produce remarkable California certified extra virgin olive oil. The Yocha Dehe named the oil Séka Hills after the blue hills where they farm in the Capay Valley. In addition to its successful Cache Creek casino operations, the Tribe sustainably manages more than 25,000 acres with more than a dozen crops, partners with organic growers, and grazes a growing herd of 800 cattle on tribal rangeland. The Séka Hills operation uses Super High Density plantings in the Arbequina groves, mechanical harvesting, and mills onsite at its custom-built Alfa Laval mill.

Really like this

Just arrived yesterday and I was very impressed with its flavor. Very fresh, on strong side but not overwhelming, just perfect for my taste. I will reorder.

So good. So versatile

This olive oil is a staple in my kitchen. It's mellow with good weight. Great as a mild finishing oil on salads, pasta—pretty much anything.
