Sorrento Walnut & Honey Spread with Extra Virgin Olive Oil - Nocemiele
Creamy Italian Walnut Spread Made with Honey
Grab a spoon and get ready . . . you’ll want to dig into Nocemiele, or Sorrento Walnut & Honey Spread, the minute you open the jar. Dip your spoon into this luscious spread and let your taste buds be whisked away by the delicate flavor of Italian walnuts balanced with nuanced notes of honey and subtle hints of maple.
This addictive spread—like all of Il Colle del Gusto’s dessert spreads—is made with Italian extra virgin olive oil (no palm oil here) giving it a glossy sheen and a silky, smooth texture.
How to use
Il Colle del Gusto’s Nocemiele spread shines simply slathered on a warm piece of toasted bread, but the sweet possibilities are endless—sandwich between oatmeal cookies, swirl into rice pudding or, for an extra indulgent morning treat, drizzle over pancakes, waffles or French toast.
This Italian dessert spread also makes for a dreamy ice cream sundae—spoon it over scoops of chocolate and vanilla gelato and top with lightly sweetened whipped cream, chopped toasted walnuts and an amarena cherry.
About the producer
In 2012, Antonio della Corte was creating sweet mixes for gelaterie and pastry shops and Anna Maria Conti was running a farm, bed and breakfast a few miles north of Rome. In a blend as natural as chocolate and hazelnut, the two combined their talents to produce a line of spreads made with Anna Maria's own extra virgin olive oil and nuts grown on friends' farms.
We met the couple (partners in business and in life) at the farmers market in Rome just three months after the launch of their delicious creations, and we loved the spreads so much that we decided right there and then to bring them back for you.
