For olive growers, the practice of giving a holiday gift of olive oil pressed with whole citrus fruits goes back generations. After gifting this glorious liquid for years, the Ricci brothers, Lino and Francesco, had the thought that maybe people outside of Abruzzo might be interested in this fantastically fresh and versatile condiment.

In the grand tradition of Italian gastronomy, 20 years is barely the blink of an eye. But it was just 1991 when the Ricci brothers decided to pull the curtains back on this local Abruzzese tradition. So they bottled their first harvest of Agrumato - "agrume" means citrus - and they've never looked back!
