2024 Freshly Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Capezzana's 2024 olio nuovo (new oil) is back. Olio nuovo is the first pressing of just-harvested olives. It's intense, raw and brimming with vibrant flavor.
This year's olio nuovo from Capezzana's Tuscan estate is elegant, inviting and defined by verdant herbaceous notes. Made in extremely small batches, this oil won't be around for long!
How to use
Since olio nuovo is so fresh, it's meant to be enjoyed quickly. Drench grilled bread, drizzle it over steamed vegetables and pour it over fresh ricotta. Capezzana's olio nuovo is particularly delicious drizzled over warm white beans and grilled chicken.
Since it's highly seasonal, olio nuovo also makes a wonderful holiday gift. Read why the LA Times says olio nuovo makes "a symbolically and seasonally perfect Hanukkah ingredient — and not a bad holiday gift."
About the producer
Tenuta di Capezzana, outside of Florence, has been producing wine and olive oil since 804 A.D. The estate is a grand villa, built for one of the Medici daughters as a wedding gift and is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. But the estate is also a home under the care of the Contini Bonacossi family. Filippo Bonacossi supervises the estate's olives groves while the rest of the family handles the business side. We're proud to share with you an extra virgin olive oil that is both from a family operation and one of Italy's premier estates.
