Humboldt Fog from Cypress Grove

Considered an icon of the artisan California cheese movement, Humboldt Fog has been one of our cheese counter's best sellers for years. This soft-ripened goat cheese features a thin line of edible vegetable ash through its center, resembling the fog line that hovers over the Northern Californian coastal town of Humboldt.
It's dense and herbaceous with a clean, citrusy finish. At peak ripeness, the wheel is framed by a layer of soft cream under the edible bloomy rind.
How to use
Humboldt Fog makes a statement on the platter, pairing well with all kinds of fruit and toasted hazelnuts. Bring a wedge to your next picnic or brunch and serve with crackers and a zesty marmalade.

This is one of the few foods all 3 of us love. It complements many tastes and is great by itself with crackers. It has a little tang and that lovely streak and has a measured just right amount of creaminess.
