Also known as turrón de Yema, this marzipan turrón is unlike anything else. Typically, turrón is made with egg whites (similar to French nougat), but this version uses egg yolks instead, lending it a distinct richness. Made with ground almonds, rosemary honey, vanilla and a touch of white chocolate, this holiday treat becomes even more decadent from the caramelized sugar crust.

About the producer

Alemany Mel y Turrón is an independent honey and turrón producer located in the remote valley of Os de Balaguer in northern Spain. They gather honey from all over Spain—and only from Spain—concentrating on monofloral (single flower) varieties like rare thyme, rosemary and chestnut honey. Alemany's artisanal production practices have remained unchanged for five generations.
