How to use
With a higher potency than its red counterpart, a little green Sichuan pepper oil goes a long way. Heating it up in a skillet will mute some of its tingly effect, but it will still add plenty of dimension and depth to stir-fries, fried eggs and sauteed vegetables. When used as a finishing oil, it will transform everything it touches, from grilled steaks and seafood, to noodles and pasta.
About the producer
Named in reference to the frequency of the prickly sensation that these potent peppers generate, 50Hertz was co-founded by Yao Zhao and Lois Goh. Together, Zhao and Goh are on a mission to share Sichuan pepper’s vibrant and versatile flavor with more people outside of China. Working with trusted farmers in Sichuan and Gansu, 50Hertz imports both red and green Sichuan peppers to the United States.
I've used this Green Sichuan Pepper Oil from 50Hertz in multiple dishes where the tingling effect was a big part of the taste. It is so much better (and easier) than grinding the whole peppers and I'm sure I'll get the desired effect with the oil, not always sure with the whole peppers.
