Our own bakery in Oakland, California, has been making these biscotti since we opened in 1987. The original recipe is based on Umbrian quaresimali, a biscotti-like cookie traditionally enjoyed during Lent. Crunchier than your typical biscotti, these cookies are ideal for dunking into a cup of another local favorite, Highwire Coffee.
Made with a combination of almonds and hazelnuts, our Housemade Biscotti are crisp, crumbly and aromatic thanks to a double-dose of both ground cinnamon and cinnamon oil. Just like the old days, our biscotti are made entirely by hand from start to finish.
Chocolate lovers, try Market Hall Bakery’s Chocolate Biscotti.

The biscotti I ordered were OK, but too sweet for me. However, my neighbor loved them, so they made someone happy.
My husband is Italian on both sides (as Tucci says of himself) and grew up in an Italian neighborhood in Brooklyn with great bakeries in the mix for biscotti so he knows a thing or two about "the best" and he puts these in that category.
Small and perfect snack without overdoing ot
I find both the plain and chocolate biscotti to be good but fairly bland in flavor and a little less crunchy than they could be.
I will definitely reorder these again.
